There are many reasons for visiting South Africa - whether it is for its natural beauty, its abundant wildlife, its rich cultural heritage or its year-round sunny climate. South Africa offers you staggering variety, both in terms of her natural environment and her human population. Climatic zones vary from lush tropical coastlines to arid deserts. Landscapes range from flat and empty for as far as the eye can see... to towering, dramatic mountains.

South Africa, a wildlife wonderland, is at the forefront of eco-tourism. Reserves are to be found throughout the country. Many are home to the 'Big Five' - lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo. National Parks such as the world famous Kruger Park - it's as big as Wales - allow visitors to experience nature in its most unspoilt and wild state.

The inhabitants of this variable land include some people still living a traditional hunting and gathering lifestyle, while the cities of Johannesburg and Cape Town are centers of modern technology and commerce.

You'll discover that South Africa is very beautiful. Scenic glories range from the lush forests of the Garden Route, to the rolling sand dunes of the Kalahari dessert. The magnificent Drakensberg Mountains offer some awe-inspiring panoramas, while, in contrast, there is the gorgeous countryside of the Winelands. Cape Town is know by many as the most beautiful city in the world.

With a coastline stretching some 2,000 miles from the Atlantic in the west to the Indian Ocean in the east, South Africa is a great place for a beach holiday. There's a host of water sports options to indulge in - from diving through coral reefs, to surfing, windsurfing, fishing or simply soaking up the sun.

South Africa is experiencing an "African Renaissance", enabling visitors to experience the African way of life, both traditional and contemporary. Cultural villages have been opened, allowing visitors to observe the varied heritage of various ethnic groups while township tours provide a fascinating insight into the life of modern, urban Africans. South Africa has been described as the 'The Rainbow Nation'. Visitors will encounter an intriguing, multicultural mosaic.

South Africa is a great destination for lovers of the Great Outdoors, not only for those going on safari but also for adventure enthusiasts. A vast range of activities is catered for - from hiking to horse-riding, from white-water rafting to whale watching to the highest bungee jump in the world. For a real treat, take a journey by luxury train or a nostalgic excursion on a steam train.

South Africa has attractions which will cater for the preferences of each and every person.

We look forward to welcoming you and making your stay one that will leave you revived and fulfilled and anxious to return to Sunny South Africa!!
